IP address whitelisting

Locking down access to AutoConvert from outside of the office environment aids your information security requirements.

Prerequisites for this feature

  • Your office needs to be on a fixed IP address.
  • If you have a multi-account hierarchy this needs to be done at the master level.

You can customise who this applies to via custom roles. As an example, you may want your sales executives to only access AutoConvert from the office but relax this for Managers, allowing them to log in to AutoConvert from home.

By default, any IP can access AutoConvert. When this feature is switched on you are setting up which users (via custom roles) you’d still like to access AutoConvert from any IP address so it's important you follow the steps in this order.

Navigate to - Settings > Account > Custom roles

This is where a good custom role structure makes setup and management easier. Select the appropriate custom role you’d still like to be able to access AutoConvert once you switch on the restriction.

Navigate to the Allow permissions area and switch on the switch named, “Can access system without IP address check”.

Navigate to - Settings > Account > IP address whitelist

Please note, as soon as you add this anyone who doesn’t have the custom role “Can access system without IP address check” will only be able to use AutoConvert from the IP address you add so again, please make sure the user who is administering this has the custom role set.

At the top right you can add the IP addresses that you’d only like users to be able to access AutoConvert from. You can add as many IP addresses as you’d like there so if you have multiple offices etc this is supported.
